Increasing Traffic With Contextual Links
Jan 21st, 2007 by Lee (admin)
EgyptBC has been around on the internet for some time now, having originally been a traditional website encoded in php. However, last year, all was lost due to major server issues with what proved to be an unreliable host.
Typically, I didn’t have a backup of my site, and only had a small proportion of my web pages saved on my local hard drive (a mistake I shall never make again!). This led to my decision to reincarnate EgyptBC.com as a blog. This decision was taken as it me allowed to get my remaining content back online in a short period of time without having to find a designer and all of the hassles associated with that.
So far, so good, though I have noticed one problem - where the old site was down for so long all the pages became deindexed from the major search engines. My old page rank of 5 is gone and the benefit of all the links I had acquired over the last couple of years is now worthless.
Looking for a solution, I came across Contextual Blog Links from V7N, a service designed to enable us webmasters to acquire one way, incoming links from similarly themed sites. Such a service will allow link popularity to be built up quickly whilst utilising topical and desirable anchor text - essential for ranking well in the search engines these days.
